Novi Dental's owner, Dr. Tressa Priehs, enjoys providing care to patients of all ages. Dr. Priehs graduated in the Top 10 of her class from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2004. She earned her B.A in Health Sciences from Kalamazoo College prior to pursuing her dental degree at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Priehs is current with the latest dental technology and is very active in organized dentistry. Staying on the cutting edge of technology, Dr. Priehs has taken hundreds of hours of post graduate education to keep abreast of the newest advances in modern dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association and the Detroit District Dental Society.
Dr. Priehs has brought on an Associate Dentist, Dr. Kamani Meriwether, to assist in meeting the growing demands of the practice. Dr. Meriwether was recruited to play volleyball at Kentucky State University where she graduated with honors in Biology. Dr. Meriwether earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2018. During her time there she spent many hours doing volunteer work, served as president for the Student National Dental Association, as well as tutored fellow dental students in aesthetics and operative dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association.
Dr. Meriwether spent the last three and a half years working for the National Health Service Corps while continuing to provide dentistry on a volunteer basis throughout Michigan and Indiana, she even spent time in the Philippines with ISLP Philippines Service Learning providing care to the underserved community of Cebu. Recently she decided to make the move back to Michigan with her family to continue growing in dentistry. Dr. Meriwether and her husband have a young son that they are excited to raise in the Metro Detroit area.
